David’s research focuses on legislative institutions, organization, and decision-making. The focus of his Hellman Fellowship is untangling the relationship between parliamentary institutions, legislative expertise, and policy outcomes.
Before joining the University of California, Merced, David was a research fellow at the Collaborative Research Center SFB 884, “Political Economy of Reforms,” at the University of Mannheim and earned his PhD at Rice University in Houston, TX.
