2nd Year PhD in Vision Science
Sarah Kochik is a clinical instructor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and is currently working toward a Ph.D. in vision science. She received her O.D. from UC Berkeley, after which she completed a residency training in Pediatrics and Primary Care. During her residency, she became interested in myopia research through her work in the Myopia Control Clinic at Berkeley, and is currently interested in investigating the combined effects of optical and pharmaceutical treatments for myopia in children. Sarah also serves as the president-elect of her local optometric society and is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. As a dedicated Cal fan, she is also happy to serve as the on-call optometrist for the Cal football team.
